Welcome

Dear Colleagues,

Following the success of the inaugural FESSH Academy in 2019, this will run for the second time in Budapest. This is a residential course which will run over four days in February 2020. It will be a mixture of lectures, case based discussions and practical sessions. It is aimed at trainees in the early years of hand surgery and is intended to provide a solid foundation of knowledge and treatment rationale upon which a young hand surgeon can build for the future. The programme has been modified this time to give more time for discussion of the many controversial aspects of Hand Surgery. Although it is not primarily designed for the EBHS exam, prospective candidates will find many aspects of the course useful. The carefully selected faculty is composed of senior surgeons from across Europe, all with international reputations and proven track records in teaching and lecturing.

This will also be an opportunity to meet and socialise with other young hand surgeons from all of the FESSH countries, so that lasting friendships can be born. There will be an evening social programme to facilitate this further!

FESSH offers support for 4 nominees from each FESSH member countries - You can apply for the supported places via your national hand society's FESSH delegate http://fessh.com/national-delegates/ before 30 September. The cost of the course including coffee breaks, lunches and two dinners is only €250!

The standard fee is also reasonable: €400. You can apply directly via the FESSH webpage after 28 October 2019.

Please note that the registration fee does not include the accomodation. Accomodation should be reserved by yourself. The venue of the FESSH Academy 2020, Hotel Helia offers a special rate for the FESSH Academy participants. For details go to: https://www.danubiushotels.com/en/fessh2020
